Women in Manufacturing – Ohio Chapter News
We would like to introduce you to Women in Manufacturing (WiM), and more specifically the WiM Ohio Chapter. Women in Manufacturing, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to Support, Promote and Inspire women in manufacturing careers.
Since its inception 15 years ago, WiM has grown to be the only national and global trade association dedicated to providing year-round support to women who have chosen a career in the manufacturing industry, from C-suite to the production floor. You do not need to be in a manufacturing role to reap the rewards of WiM, and we love our male allies too!

Interested in learning more? Your local WiM Ohio chapter is co-chaired by Daniele Caserta and Bethany Dolak, both local to Stark County. Daniele works for CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) and in her role she supports manufacturers, while Bethany works for Diebold Nixdorf in global sales and marketing operations – two great examples of how WiM benefits anyone connected to the manufacturing industry.
Interested in joining? WiM Ohio’s chapter would love to have you! There are multiple levels of membership available, from student to corporate level – benefits include: access to free monthly webinars via the Virtual Learning Series and access to our Virtual Learning Library, discounts to post or seek job opportunities on WiMWorks, our WiM-powered job board, discounted rates to all local and WiM National events, ability to join a local chapter, and much more. WiM Ohio also offers multiple sponsorship opportunities – a great way to build your network and relationships, share your product, service or company and promote workforce development for women in manufacturing.
WiM also has a global presence, and continues to expand their boarders – it is a great way for corporate members to connect their employees!
Successful Teacher Bootcamp Enlightens Educators
35 middle-high school educators and counselors from 13 school districts recently participated in a 3-day bootcamp while exploring career pathways in construction, trades, logistics, health care and of course manufacturing.

Stephanie Werren accompanied the manufacturing day tour and provided statistics regarding our local, state and national manufacturing economy. In addition, to ensure the educators retained knowledge, Stephanie quizzed them throughout the day and made sure each participant won some type of prize. Ohio Gratings, Inc. and The M. K. Morse Company hosted the tours.
The post-event surveys showed 100% of these educators would recommend manufacturing as a career pathway to their students.

One educator noted in their comments, “I thoroughly enjoyed the manufacturing day. Manufacturing jobs and companies are really looking out for their employees.”
Participant responses to the question of, “What images come to mind when manufacturing is mentioned” included collaboration, innovation, design, education, robotics, opportunities for advancement, supportive, computer, programming, team, and one of our favorites…….Jobs that make the world go round!
Our next educator tour is scheduled for October 13. Only 4 companies will be on the tour due to time constraints. If interested in hosting part of the October 13 educator tour, please contact info@starkmanufacturing.org.
